We have discovered that the Illuminating 2020 dashboard has been underestimating the spending and impressions totals, particularly for the Biden campaign. This discrepancy is the result of our original decision to not include ads that ran without any text in the body. At the time that we made this decision, the campaigns appeared to not be running many ads without text in the body. This has changed in recent months. We have resolved this issue. Estimates on the dashboard are now accurate from June 1st to the present day. We have removed blog posts that relied on our previous estimates and will be publishing revised versions of the posts with updated estimates and analysis in the near future.
